Julian and I get a lot of 1:1 time together, since Miles is in preschool most mornings. Mark was away on a church trip last Saturday and his parents had offered to babysit, so I figured it was a good opportunity to get some 1:1 time with Miles.
After we dropped Julian off with his grandma and grandpa, Miles and I headed to Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch. It was located in the neighborhood Mark and I used to live, so it was fun to show Miles around there.
After lunch we headed to Mark’s and my alma mater for my old fraternity’s alumni event. I currently serve as an advisor to the fraternity as well. We put together art kits for the local children’s hospital, and Miles was able to help decorate those. We tried to learn the Harlem Shake (the ACTUAL Harlem Shake, not the made-up version going around the Internet these days), and then Miles built a giant tower with one of the students. It was a great afternoon!
