Valentine’s Day

Growing up, Valentine’s Day was a holiday for the whole family. The “Valentine Man” (a creation of my dad’s) would visit and leave a little gift for each of us kids. I enjoy continuing that tradition in our family..

Miles had the day off of school, so he had a friend over for a playdate in the morning. We made pink biscuits for a snack. (Note to self: in the future, add food dye before the batter is mixed!)

I had some errands to run, so Mark’s parents came over to play with the boys. We’re lucky they live so close by!

The Valentine Man made a delivery during Quiet Time. Each boy got a card, coloring book, Pete the Cat book, and small box of chocolates.

Mark got home soon after that and we had a quiet family dinner and evening at home. He and I have a tradition of Italian food for Valentine’s Day, so we’re planning to go to this greeeaaat stone oven pizza place to celebrate sometime in the next week or so.

Do you have any special Valentine traditions?
