Silly family picture
Mugging for the camera over Christmas dinner
We missed being able to go apple picking when we lived in California…definitely a perk of being back in Ohio!
Visiting a pumpkin patch is a “must-do” each fall. This year’s patch had a hayride, which was fun, though bumpy!
Maya and her siblings at her brother’s wedding. The sun came out just before pictures, but it was freeeeezing cold!
Maya loves to make birthday cakes for the boys’ birthdays. For his 3rd birthday, Miles requested a hand dryer cake. Maya did her best!
S’mores are always a hit at the end of one of our summer cookouts! Dad’s seasoned corn on the cob is popular, too.
Miles REALLY wanted to eat at this restaurant near his grandparents’, so we got the whole extended family together for New Year’s Eve breakfast.
Summer 2012 we went to Chicago. Miles begged to see water fountains, so he and Mark spent an afternoon running around the city, taking pictures at as many fountains as possible (14!).
Julian never tires of taking silly pictures with Mommy’s camera phone!
Miles decided that a backyard campout with Daddy was a necessary part to his summer. They camped out on the deck for a few hours before both deciding their beds indoors were more comfy, haha.
Mark and his brothers at our house over winter break
During family pictures, Julian insisted we snap one with him and Oliver. He views our cat as his personal pillow, and Oliver is sweet enough to oblige…most of the time, anyway!
We’re basically pros at making the duck face.
We get a lot of snow up here. In fact, we had a real blizzard the day after Christimas. It was the boys’ first time playing in the snow and they LOVED it!
Maya convinced Mark to humor her, and we went as Kate Beckett and Richard Castle, from the show Castle, for Halloween this year.
Speaking of Halloween, one year Mark convinced Maya we should dress as Commander Riker & Deanna Troi from Star Trek. Mark even decorated our car for our church’s Trunk or Treat! We’re nerds.
